Good morning,
Here’s Friday’s edition of Asia AI News!
Shanghai’s annual AI event, WAIC, kicked off yesterday with the organisers estimating 3,000 virtual attendees and 200 guests at the physical event.
Naturally, it was a completely different kettle of fish to 2019 due to the pressures of the global pandemic. However, regardless of the medium, the speakerplatform really was not up to last year’s standard either.
China’s English language media are making the most of it and I’ve linked to a few stories below, including a Reuters story on comments made by Elon Musk on Telsa’s development of level 5 autonomy in a recorded Q&A video made for WAIC.
Best Elon Musk quote from his video?
“Nothing is more complex and weird than the real world!”
Stay safe and have a great weekend!
