Good morning,
Here’s your Wednesday edition of Asia AI News!
The coronavirus outbreak seems to have disrupted business in China across the board and the impact is starting to be felt around the world. However, Houze Song, Research Fellow at the Paulson Institute, believes fears are exaggerated and if we assume that containment is effective, then the current level of economic uncertainty will likely soon dissipate. Can we though?
Although the trade war rhetoric seems to have faded somewhat since the onset of the coronavirus crisis, Huawei remains in the headlines. UK think tant Chatham House believes that Britain is walking a post-Brexit tightrope with Huawei decision. Meanwhile, Huawei is apparently the star of the China-Russia trade relationship.
In funding news, Indian fleet management startup Fleetx.io has secured $2.8 million in a A Series round.
Have a great day!
