Good morning, Here’s Thursday’s Asia AI News! A mixed bag of news today, including a minor update on the Megvii IPO, story that began early last year. If you’ve been following the progress of the Megvii IPO, you may remember that the last news was that HKED was apparently not happy with the company’s disclosures regarding US sanction-related risks (the IPO had apparently received clearance from HKEX in January). This week, CEO Yin Qi is quoted as confirming that the company is still working towards an IPO, but it’s a question of timing. In other news, Singapore sets up the Asian Institute of Digital Finance, Toshiba invests $321 million in an AI research centre and Nokia establishes a robotics lab at Indian Institute Of Science in Bengaluru. Stay safe and have a good day! /Carrington
